My soap making process

Goat’s Gold ✨

The first step in my soap making process is to have healthy happy goats! In order to get the maximum amount of milk from my goat, she needs to be well taken care of and happy. One hand washes the other, I say!

We provide our goats a big open safe outdoor space, a cozy clean home, lots of love… and lots of treats! In return, she gives us fresh milk!

The key ingredient in my soap is goats milk. Goats milk is known for capric-caprylic triglyceride which helps to retain moisture in the skin and creates a rich creamy lather in your bar of soap. The milk is loaded with vitamins A, D, B6 and lactic acid which helps to make the skin smooth without harsh ingredients and detergents which leave the skin dry and flaky.

I use the old fashioned cold process of soap making to ensure I am retaining the maximum benefits of the goats milk, oils, and butters. The cold process is a slow process- it takes between 6-9 weeks for each bar to fully cure…but it’s well worth the wait!

The base of most of my recipes ( unless otherwise noted) Is olive oil, soybean oil, coconut oil, goats milk, shea butter, distilled water, sodium hydroxide ( creates saponification) fragrance oils or essential oils and mica powders for color and shimmer.
